The proceeds from the festival went to a very special purpose - we donated them to the German Church School in Ethiopia.
Why there? - well, that has a certain reason:

For the past several years two girls who were adopted from Ethiopia have been attending our kindergarten. Through these sisters and their family, the children and adults have learned about "a different world".

Through projects (ISOP and Fred Ohenhen), a donation drive for toys and clothes, and many talks, films and pictures . . . we have been learning about this country and the people who live there long before this Lantern Festival.

The willingness to help and the interest in learning more about this country is so immense that it will stay with us in the kindergarten for a long time to come.
